All too often, a new magical creature, or plant is not seen with wonder or awe, but rather a keen eye for exploitation. In the often violent and brutal realm of role-playing, the wonders of nature are often overlooked, and never realized. I though I would start this thread to see if anyone else had any ideas along these lines. With that being said, may I present...
Full Description
In most cases, if a plant or animal is not a "threat" or a "mcguffin" that is required to complete some quest, most gamers just blow them off. Here these plants are just background. They don't eat people. They might have some function in the ecology, but they don't boost players or create magical effects. In short, they are normal plants.

Wild Flower, magical red, white and blue wild flowers
when a bunch is freshly picked and carried in hand, wildly fluctuating bonuses are gained, die in about 2 weeks, lose magic if put down after harvesting.
Sword Fronds
magical sword plant, make 2-6 wildly vary in size and some are more powerful than the most powerful magic sword, blooms on time of need, weapons live about a month.

When blood has been shed in anger or waste, The Scarlett Call will be there.

Pixie flowers are small flowering ground cover. The plant itself is a creeping vine that can cover the side of a building like an ivy.

What a great list of colorful plants, often with good uses, but not needing them to stand out. I like this one very much.

Looking at all these plants, we really like to find the useful (or potentially useful) properties of everything. Often being guilty of this crude approach, I like this list nonetheless. :)

Nicely done :) I have a reputation for using plants in unexpected ways in game - my players will be quite...entertained... with these ideas.
