Zayarahausc is Bastard Demonspeak, coming from the Demonspeak zhyurhuzhawas’kht, “warrior made from part of salt” or “salt-warrior”.

The Viles of Salt are very, very tall and very, very thin. They have long, narrow limbs and stick-like torsoes. Their faces are similarly long, narrow, distended even. Their stroke legs end in heavy, blunt claws, and their huge, flat hands have curled, claw-like fingers. On their faces they wear wildly-grinning masks of silver inlayed with pearl. On their backs they have huge, delicate, non-functional butterfly wings, in hues of silver, pale blue, and black. But the strangest thing about them is that they are composed, all of them, save their wings, of crusty, shimmering salt.
The Viles of Salt are always thirsty, and they draw water from living beings with even a single brush from their crusty white flesh, dessicating those who are touched. The wind that blows when the great butterfly wings of the Zayarahausc cause walls and buildings to crumble and break, destabilizing structures which have stood for thousands of years. The Viles of Salt greatly love to wrestle, and appreciate it as the sport of gods.

Uyozhiguhyet, the Sea of Pandemonium, is the great foul ocean which stretches across whole deeps and entire walls of the canyons of Hell, covering some of its regions like a thin, oily, rotten skin, a skin that creeps and oozes glacially through the endless mad halls of the demon realm. Where Uyozhiguhyet has flowed, there is left behind great cities and temples built of shining white salt. The beings which emerge from these salt ruins are the Zayarahausc. The Viles of Salt worship the Sea of Pandemonium like a god, and they offer up the dessicated tongues of all those that they kill as prayers to it.
Zayarahausc are always, always thirsty, and gladly guzzle up entire lakes in their unquenchable desire for liquid. However, if submerged in water, they are destroyed, their salt-crystal bones dissolving to a sludgy powder and their wings dissipating into an acidic mist which is useful in creating magical elixers for curing diseases of the throat and lungs.
Zayarahausc will never resist the ancient song called the Jaji Po, which inspires them to stately dances of crumbling, crinkling motions.

Zayarahausc can be summoned by great vats of cool water and by the playing of the Jaji Po, along with, of course, the proper magic incantations and prayers. Zayarahausc can never accept a master who will not wrestle against them, thus, many sorcerors must construct suits to keep in their body\‘s water so that they can wrestle against the Viles of Salt.
