Saddah
Saddah, the patron of games. A mysterious woman you might see around games of luck, undoubtly another fan... or an evil spirit that will take the most driven gambler with her.
It is not sure if there is only one, or there are several. Certain is, the creature moves freely in the lands of mortals. Luckily, she is rather benign, maybe not even a demon, but some sort of a malevolent spirit instead... whatever the difference is. If it is a demon, she is probably a free creature now, merely travelling the world and enjoying herself and fine life. She slowly changes her appearance, but stays humanoid at all times.
Appearance
Whatever its shape, it is always a humanoid female of exotic beauty. Frequenting casinos and various gaming locales, she does not seem to want to draw too much attention... but her noble ways, the fine clothes, jewelry and faithful servants betray she is one of the higher classes of society.
Behaviour
Wealthy and mysterious, enjoying the sight of people playing games, she sure does attract the attention of lowest gamblers and nobles alike, and many invite her for a game or two. She refuses most of the offers, saying she only plays for the fun and in friendship. But if it is a friendly game, without money or with low bets only, she will play, and she will win MOST of the games, sometimes with a luck that is hard to believe. She does not win all games, but wins enough to make any gamer jealous, and accepts all losses like a true lady. She doesn't cheat, and cheaters are often 'accidentaly' revealed when she plays.
Evading most private questions with indirect answers, most end up considering her a wife of some wealthy merchant or noble, staying bored at home while her husband is always away for business. And so she stalks the casinos, playing the games a little, and looking at interesting games... and now and then finding a favourite. (Side note: she brings luck to those she favours.)
The Catch
If there is friendship between her and a gambler, she will play games with him, and sooner or later will a fool insist on playing with at least 'imagined' money, to see how it would end up. Winning most games easily, the imagined debts rise to great heights. Soon, all the time in good humour, she would start betting the personal features of the unlucky courtier... 'A thousand gold for your charming ways... two thousand for your courtship... five thousand for your hope that never ends' and so on.
Until some day, the gambler is completely indebted with those seemingly meaningless debts, belonging to her with soul and body like the other servants, becoming a slave and personal property. Then perhaps, she will move on to another city, to seek new games and new entertainment, and maybe new servants.
Roleplaying Notes
Surely, no one would care if some lowly gambler has vanished... but what if it is a well-known young noble? Or, hell, a prince even? Or perhaps someone promised to a marriage to settle an old feud? What if a player's source of information is enslaved? (thanks to Roack for this one)
They will be serving her, and working like slaves. Beacause as she has to move a lot, her wealth has to be sustained. So some will be left left as her personal servants, and some will work for her comfort until they work their hands off (maybe literally).
The most probable target are young male gamblers, but anyone can be it. And of course she wouldn't be just letting her servants leave, nor will they want to leave. Even if they were kidnapped, they BELONG to her. They would be like without a soul, unless she'd left them go, slowly wasting away if they stay without their mistress. Of course, there is an easy way to get them out... just play a game with her!

The lost post returns.
Now before I had voted and commented upon the character. It is an archetype of sorts. I thought there was another character very much like it on the site (but can not find it... still searching through). All that said, still nicely executed, has a couple of good touches, well laid out, and worthy of two paws up!
This one is reposted from a scroll on demons and stuff, so that may be it. (Yep, even I created a demon back than.)
Not bad, but nothing really WOW. Execution is good.
I like her for all the potential plot hooks swirling around her.
With all the demons posted now (and this one posted accidentally a second time), allow me to BUMP the real thing.
She certainly could be a regular in a campaign - an odd contact that could be dealt with as long as you avoid her games of chance.
Maybe events force one's hands, and you take the chance, for she knows something or someone critical to your mission/plot.
Neat stuff - I like her!
