1. The Order of the Dragonbrass Scepter

The Order of the Dragonbrass Scepter is technically an independent adventuring organization. As an independent adventuring org, it is not part of any of the Big Three adventuring guilds; the Guild of Adventurers-upon-Return, the Guild of Champions, or the Guild of Heroes. It does maintain good relations with two of the three, having no care or interest in dealing with the counter-culture, often revolutionary, and always subversive Guild of Heroes. The Order has enormously high barriers to entry, to be an official member of the order, an applicant must be of royal birth. Only princes, princesses, kings, and queens may be members of the Dragonbrass Scepter.

2. The Order of the Wightsilver Sword

Much like the Order of the Dragonbrass Scepter, the Wightsilver Sword is an adventuring order with the membership requirement that all members be of the landed nobility. To wear the Wightsilver Sword pendant indicates an adventurer of not just skill, but proper breeding, social status, and economic competence. Kings can sometimes be paupers, but the landed nobility must always be flush. Knights, Knights-Errant, landed gentry, and hedge knights need not apply.

3. The Tarasceen Brotherhood

As the two previous organizations represent the Royals and the Nobles, the Tarasceen Brotherhood is the social gathering of knights, knights-errant, landed gentry who arent associated with other mercantile or specialized interests, hedge knights, and the like. Superficially the Tarasceen Brotherhood resembles contemporary adventuring organizations, but they do not have dungeoneering as a core part of their duty. Instead, they focus on quests, defending the helpless, chivalry, tournaments, fighting bandits, and generally not being out for themselves.

4. The Tarasceen League

When people bandy about terms like the Merchant's Guild, what they actually mean is the Tarasceen League. The League represents the confraternity of the collected artisan, crafts, and other mundane and sundry commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and other groups. The League is given large amounts of leeway as it is backed by the Council of Lords of Terrasquestone, the adventuring guilds, and the Wizard's Cache. The League does a lot of organizing, a lot of financing, and a lot of employment opportunities.

4A - The Loyal Order of the Frothsworn Brotherhood of the Dragonbrass Tankard

Its a long name, but is the clan of the Terrasquestone beer brewers and distillers.

4B - The Esteemed Conclave of Hoteliers, Taverners, and Innkeepers

A relatively modern organization, this group has organized at the behest of the Council of Lords to clean up the traveling amenities in the city to better serve the massive flow of visitors to Terrasquestone. Prior to the Esteemed Conclave, the inns, taverns, and hotels of the city were infamous for fleecing guests, having vermin-infested kitchens, and louse-infested beds.

4C - The Immaculate and Pristine Guild of the Lily

None of the words in the name of this organization are correct, as it represents the 'sisterhood' of brothels and prostitutes in the city. Adjutant to the Esteemed Conclave, the Guild of the Lily is a functional women-only 'brotherhood' of madams and financially invested workers, none of which are immaculate or pristine

4D - The Transcendent Imperial Order of Victualers, Boustefaillers, Griffonagers, and Pyrocoques

I'm going to shoot straight right here, I love two things in this world, and that's food trucks and ethnic food. The Transcendent Imperial Order of Victualers (food makers), Boustefaillers (fry cooks), Griffonagers (energy drinks), and Pyrocoques (anything normal but FLAMIN' HOT) are the Tarasceen market stall cooks, food cart operators, and pretty much the stand-in for fast food and restaurants in Terrasquestone. Sure, someone can go to an inn and get traditional inn fare, but inns across the continent by far and large have the same general offerings, albeit with local twists.

4E - The Caravaneers Union

The Caravaneers Union is the logistics arm of the Tarasceen League and superficially is organized around the building of wagons, carriages, and the breeding and care of draft horses and carriage horses. Recognized by their wagon wheel sigil, the Caravaneers are the literal lifeblood of the city, moving goods from the outlying markets into the city, and getting refuse out. As they feed devouring deeps corpses, trash, and animal feces, the Union knows almost all the city's dirty secrets and its underworld contacts and connections are much better than the rogues of the Guild of Adventurers-Upon-Return, who have no idea their Backstab Alley is just a corner tacked onto the Tarasceen black market.

4F - The Brotherhood of the Tarasceen Hammer

These are the metal workers who turn ore from the Gyre into ingots, and then into metal goods. Armorsmiths, weaponsmiths, and blacksmiths are all in this organization.

4G - The Imperial Order of Bookbinders, Vellum makers, and Quillists

The sundry labor side of Terrasquestone's insatiable demand for books, scrolls, and other written goods. Often at odds with the wizards.

5. The Imperial Company

The Imperial Company is also known incorrectly as the Mercenary's Guild. The mercenary part is correct, but it is a collection of paramilitary and military organizations that hire out soldiers. This differs from the other organizations as the Imperial Company isn't interested in dungeoneering, working for king and country, or a faith. They are hired steel and have a discolored and spotted history of being both valorous defenders of the city, protectors of caravans and noble sellswords, and also being the most likely to fragment into bandit and raider factions. The main use of the Imperial Company is shadow muscle where guild heroes aren't the right fit.

6. The Council of the Council of Lords of Terrasquestone

This mouthful is generally known as the Civic Guild, and encompasses the various civil and municipal services associated with the city of Terrasquestone.

6A - The Stewards of Taxes and Tariffs

6B - The Stewards of Roads

6C - The Stewards of Stone (buildings, bridges, and the maintenance of the city walls, gates, and fortifications

6D - The Stewards of the Gate (City Guard, Constabulary)

6E - The Stewards of the Keep (staff of the Citadel, and associated libraries, museums, and such)

6F - The Stewards of the Gong (street cleaners, cesspit cleaners, removers of manure, city sanitation)

6G - The Stewards of Shadow (information brokers, spies, etc)

7. The Silent Order

We don't talk about they silent order, or who they work for. They could be anyone, they could be anywhere.
