A brief piece of fiction, inspired by the video game No Man's Sky.

When one thinks of a magician they typically conjure up images of fireballs and lightening darting from fingertips to thwart monsters and evil alike. What about the magic that children see? In their toys and the world around them? Where does it come from?

An ominous emblem begins appearing in tapestries, paintings, engravings, streets, etc. across the town or city in which the players are staying.

While enjoying a meal in the local tavern, the party strikes up a conversation with another customer, who is witty and urbane.

The Bannington Lapur LRTI AA Particle Rifle was developed by Deimos Inc to replace the Republic's older R3X7 Particle Rifle. The weapon is currently only being used by Elite Clone Units and Special Forces and is still undergoing trials. Several prototypes are known to exist their whereabouts unknown except for the original which is on display at the Republic Central Fleet's Museum of Armaments.

Lounging around in the Cantina, Kolburn kept a watchful, yet unassuming eye on those around him as he finished the last morsels of what passed for a meal in this joint. Brushing off the crumbs, he glanced round, careful not to make eye contact with any of the other patrons who might later remember him as he made his way unobserved to the entrance and out into the cold of the port. He would come back and pay off his mounting tab, when he next came across a few credits, or found another odd job. After all, he wasn't completely without his honour, unlike some people.
