Tirah S'Cabro
The new royal nurse. She is young, innocent and ever so boring. She is also knowledgable about the secrets of the state, having overheard many a conversation between the King, the Queen and their advisors.
Appearance
Human/ Female/ 19
Tirah is young and slender. Her face is pretty and innocent, her eyes are brown and enthralling. Her hair is dark blonde and her skin is fair. She is usually silent, save for when she runs after the princelings as they 'wage war' throughout the royal gardens.
History/Background
Tirah is the new royal nurse, the caretaker of the two youngest princelings. She was chosen for her humble nature, good looks and noble blood. She belongs to the important, but poor S'Cabro family line.
She has grown genuinely fond of the princelings, but is afraid of their father and has noticed the lust in his eyes. The Queen has put the young girl under her wing, however, and has so far thwarted all of the King's attempts to have his way with the royal nurse.
She has become the Queens favourite and can often be found combing the her royal higness' hair, or strapping on the royal corset.
Special Equipment
Key ring with all the palace keys.
S'Cabro signet ring.
Locket containing a small painting of Darius Maccanno, her secret sweet heart.
Roleplaying Notes
She has a mild tone of voice, and an equally mild demeanor. She will not look directly in the eyes of those she speak with and might blush if she talks to handsome boys. She is slightly frightened and awestruck in the presence of the King and stammers when he address her.
She is genuinely boring when you get her to speak; not interested in more than make up, fashion and, ever since her new post, how impossible some children are (albeit she says so with obvious fondness for the princelings).
She is privy to many a private conversation of national importance and she is the eyestone of her father, the head of the unfortunate S'Cabro family line. Getting information from her will never succeed through bribery, but once she gets eager, her tongue often slips and she reveals more than she ought to.

Now this is the kind of post I like. There is enough to make a usable character, but there is also a sense of depth to her, in regards to the ill-fortune of her royal lineage. Almost any plot around her would involve the princelings, to which she would make an almost demanded tag-along on the rescue/search mission. Nicely done.
A good NPC that could be used in most worlds.
Yes, but I have been thinking.
While the minor NPCs certainly have the right to live, I will put future minor NPCs in scroll clusters... You know: 'Minor villager NPCs' and such.
Interesting. I would vote higher but I would like a little more information. Such as what secrets does she know? Why is she of noble blood yet the nurse to the kings children?
On a side note. This just screams of possible plot hooks. She is attractive, young, and in a position to get nearly anything she desires. She could be led astray by her sweet heart, who is wooing her for that very reason. To be caught up in something she normally wouldn't.
Perhaps the king would feel similar, try to get her to do something knowingly wrong so he can bed her without complaint. So he could get away with it.
Plenty of possibilities. Especially if one of the players become smitten with her and she does something wrong and they try to prove her innocence against all odds.
Throughout history noble's daughters were chosen for household duties in the royal household. The S'Cabro family is one such family, down on their luck yet politically powerful. Tirah has been chosen as the queens royal nurse and given the close personal ties with the royal family this implies, her family was more than happy to say yes. A position within the royal household, whether as courtier or royal guard (for the noble sons) or as courtiers, chamber maids and royal nurses (for the noble daughters) are more than accepted. The wealthy and powerful end up in court, while the country nobles and poor nobility often end up as the royals servants.
This has happened a lot throughout history and it happens a lot in my setting.
As for what secrets she knows about, it is simple: Tirah is around the Queen and King and is considered a member of the royal family for all it is worth. Just like the Princelings, she is privy to the discussions between the King and Queen and their closest advisors. Be it secret troop information, political maneuvers in the King's dealings with his nobles or other secrets, Tirah will probably hear quite a lot about it.
'Key ring with all the palace keys.'
That line alone opens many doors!
I love npc's like this!
She is a great npc. The comments cover it all well.
