The Stories of Sama
You have been born into a rebellious world. The whole of history is treason; your blood was spilt before you were even born; the various creeds are but an infidelity to the Truth; and Man's laws are but treason to his Maker. -Passage from the Samahhi
The First Story, The Forming
In the beginning of the world, Sama crafted everything out of the darkness and in the sky hung the moon. In those days man was upright and godly, so Sama saw fit to leave man to his own devices. He left man alone for an age and a score of ages, looking not to his creation but to the perfection of his plan.
But then Sama happened to look upon the world, and he saw it darkened and ruled by demons. These demons had been without Sama for so long they saw themselves as gods, and had convinced the people of this. Sama was deeply saddened by this turn of events and returned to the world to help his people
The Second Story, The War
In the war that followed there was a great many battles, and the demons clashed with Sama and his band. The band numbered a million minus one, and they were all that was left of those who still believed in their maker. And through the darkness they fought, though pierced a great many times. Until finally Sama in his wisdom saw what was needed, and tearing his own eye from its socket, cast it up into the dark sky. And there was a great brightness in the sky that had never been there before, and the sun cut through the darkness and the smoke. Terrified of this new thing the demons ran.
Sama looked about himself, at the bodies of those who had followed him and cried. Then, taking up the eyes of his dead followers, he cast those up into the sky too, and made the stars. And then, taking up the bloodstained lands he made the moon, so that none could forget the sacrifice of his Chosen.
The Third Story, Sama Dreams
And so, knowing that his people were safe again, Sama rested. But while he wasn't looking the demons snuck into the world again. Claiming to be prophets and gods, wise men and oracles, princes and lords they stole the world for themselves again. And in their time they created much strife and persecuted the Chosen.
And during this time Sama's dreams were troubled, telling him of a future of beast instead of men, a place where the Rat-Folk of the coast roamed the plains freely, a darkened world. Over the sky, where once a million and more eyes gazed upon the land, there were dark rolling clouds, and even the sun's warmth didn't show through. The tops of many mountains had been blow off, and in their places were only raging infernos, and around these were the only civilizations.
The Forth Story, Sama Returns
Greatly disturbed Sama woke, and again looked upon his creation only to see it stolen from him. Greatly enraged both at the demons, and at the people who after being given a chance to change their ways instead abandoned him, he got ready to crush them under his heel. And the only thing that stayed his wrath was the prayer he heard coming from a select few, which through the ages had stuck to his word.
And so for many years he walked among them unnoticed until the day he decided to reveal himself. And with a great splendor and brilliance he rose himself before the people and told them of his Second Truth. He told them to take the world back from the heathens and the unfaithful, and he taught them a great many secrets that had been lost. And so it was that Sama's People came to be.

A very authentic-sounding creation story.
I like it. Very properly written(in a religious style) and interesting. I would be eager to read more of this world, if you ever wrote more.
You could base a world-religion on this..
Maggot, I think that was the idea.
Of course there is so many different ways this religion could go. Would you imagine Christianity, in all its diverse variations, as the religion based upon Book of Genesis?
Now this is well written, and I want more.
I personally would like to see the rest of the books -or at least some of the important ones.
I would also like to see a 'the Samahhi' book post.
Other than those wants and desires, this posting was well dones and poetic. Paws ups.
dang! thats good mythology P! more!
Very nice creation myth, and it sets up a nice epic conflict. I would like to hear the history from the prospective of the demons and false prophets.
Definitely a good read!
I like this.
Very powerful in its simplicity, and very well-written. I'm a sucker for religious mythology and this one's pure gold.
Excellent! Great mythic material!
