The madcap minstrel Tyrall first performed this frenetic dance tune before the court of Duke Faenkund, a performance that literally brought down the house. The minstrel's unearthly music somehow called forth the frenzied tempest spirit Pavanus, which leveled the palace. Hundreds died.
Since that disaster, arrogant bards and sorcerers have occasionally attempted the wild tune, believing they could tame the destructive storm spirit. To date, all anyone has achieved is to rain destruction upon themselves.

The challenge I was given was to produce a complete submission, using 75 words or less. It comes to 75 words, not counting the summary or title.
It works! You get the what, when, how, and why, and even the after effects. Herein lies a legend and a challenge for a bard PC!
And since so many citadellians deride endless epics ;) well, here you go!
+.5 for challenge format.
Short but I like it.
It has the mythical, legend-like qualities that I have always loved. This mythicalness, I think, is what fantasy is about; its about living in a world of legends.
Neat!
Short sweet and to the point
Not bad.. :)
Short and sweet, need I say more?
