Storm Sigil

The Storm Sigil is remarkably simple-looking; it is nothing more than a fragment of metal worked into the shape of a thunderbolt, a common holy symbol of the Divine Storm. It hangs on a plain silver chain, all of it sized for the diminutive form of a pixie. What differs most from the common holy symbols, however, is the otherworldly metal the symbol is forged from; the same grey-blue as a storm-torn sky, it seems to hum faintly with an electric power. In moment when the bearer is engaged in acts of passion and destruction, this sensation multiplies, as the sigil responds to the essences from which it was drawn.

History

The early history of the Storm Sigil is the same as any other of the Shards of the Storm; from the destruction of the blades, it hurtled across the world, spinning in the heavens for long years before it finally descended wih a stroke of lightning to shatter an ancient oak in a forest of pixies. It was the same storm which brought Raziel to his faith, and he found the fragment shortly after, taking it as a sign of blessing from his newfound deity.

It took him months to find a smith both willing and capable of forging the fragment; always before it had twisted in the process, seeking to become a weapon once more despite the most dedicated efforts of the crafter. It was only in the hands of a fellow disciple of the Storm that it was shaped to become a sacred icon, and that the destructive pixie gained the most potent of his belongings.

It has, since that time, remained around Raziel's neck at all times; even when sleeping, or cleaning himself, he finds himself unwilling to relinquish the pleasant hum of power against his skin. Some have tried to part him from it by money or force, but each of these attempts has ended in bloody havoc for the perpetrators.

Magic/Cursed Properties

The Storm Sigil, at the simplest, is an amplifier; magic of destructive or passionate nature is amplified dramatically when cast by the icon's bearer, as is any sacred magic of the original owner of the Shard itself. This alone makes it more valuable and potent a tool than most artificers ever accomplish in their lifetimes.

Less obvious is the effect of amplification upon the bearer's emotions; whenever passionate or engaged by some destructive emotion, the icon's energies amplify this state, creating a near-berserk state of passionate bliss from even the darkest of rages. For one such as the pixie who bears it, this has resulted in a love of battle and bloodshed for the sake of it, a divine experience exulting in the savage aspect of his deity.
