Heaven and Earth Blade
In most places, weapons are designed for ease of creation and practicality of use. In others, various weapon designs are developed to meet certain philosophical criteria. This staff was initially designed for philosophical reasons, but has become a very effective weapon in which several martial techniques have been built around.
Full Item Description
This metal staff styled weapon is a total of 54' long (120cms).
This weapon consists of a metal bar (which is a flat oviod, rather than a round pole), with two nine inch curved blades jutting from either end. Two crescent-moon blade hand guards are equidistant from the center. This is the best placement for hands on a staff weapon.
The weapon is used as a two handed quarterstaff, with hands held underguards. These guards are bladed with crescents. This combination allows for swivel swings, push attacks, hooking strikes, along with a full compliment of staff related attacks, parries, and feints.
History
Developed by a number of kung fu stylists, it has been formalized to these dimensions and shape.

This is a distinctive weapon used by a number of weapons form practioners. While doing forms, ribbons are attached to the ends.

A nice, simple descriotion for an exotic weapon. Easy too expand upon if the GM which too insert it into his or her setting(Or any setting for that matter).
Another strange and wonderful martial arts weapon...
And 100% real. I like this item because it shows off what a touch of naming can do to add to a weapon, beyond the bladed staff they are generically called in some games.
Firstly, I have to report that the link is no longer working. To me, this sub does not lack for content really but neither does it have a detailed backstory to warrant it being a normal sub as opposed to scroll entry or stub. But I'm not really nitpicky on author choices that are different from mine.
The citadel was a different place then
I know, occasionally when I encountered one of these old subs, I felt a little awkward about what score to give.
resolution-evolution-revolution-contribution-execution.
While I don't really get the context of the latter two words in the chain as they seem to switch away from the topic of general feature change to making a sub/commenting and then to one element within a sub (or so it seems to me), this series certainly have a good rhyme.
