The normal, material form of the Frost Thorn is quite unimposing. In its most recent incarnation, it is a thin bracelet, a chain of ice carven into the shape of thorns. It radiates with a chilling aura, as if to demanding that it be kept forever within the winter snows.

The Frost Thorn was born from the ice of the glacier, manifested when Crysheth, the Avatar of Ice, found Celsia Frostblossom frozen, yet still alive, within the that glacier, and took her as a servant in the mortal realm. She knew that her new warrior would require arms, and so she gave her the Frost Thorn and the Glacier Mail as gifts, so that Celsia might serve her better.

Magical Properties:

However, the Frost Thorn is far more than a simple bracer. At will, the wearer may cause it to manifest a weapon. This weapon is of whatever the wearer wishes or prefers. Any rigid melee weapon and shield combination is possible, from a cestus to a lochaber, but any weapon that involves combustion in any form is right out or flexibility. Sorry, no frost arquebuses.

In any of its forms, the weapons created by the Frost Thorn share certain similiar traits. First, despite their icy construction, the frozen weapons are of a strength similiar to that of the finest steels, and cutting edges are always exquistely sharp. The weapons manifested are also deeply enchanted, capable of harming the grand majority of magical creatures. Each weapon also carries with it a deep, arctic chill, and this chill will find its way into the wounds the weapon creates. Finally, those slain by the Frost Thorn are frozen through out, until such a time as moderate magical effort is put into the unthawing.

The current bearer of the Frost Thorn, Celsia Frostblossom, generally prefers to manifest her weapon as an elven longsword.
