1-Scroll of Lightning

Read this scroll when you are nice and dry and under attack, and the scroll disintegrates but not before it sends out a powerful blast of lightning at your foe. Read it when you are nice and dry but not under attack, and it either sends out a powerful blast of lightning at a random person, causing possible legal or other problems, or if you and your friends are alone  it  sends out a powerful blast of lightning at one of your friends. If you read it when wet, it fries you instead for 3D6 worth of damage in stats terms.

2-Scroll of Mute

If you read it, you end up unable to speak for several hours. Be careful what you randomly read.

3-Scroll of Arrest

Non magical, it is a scroll ordering the arrest of some high ranking princess or noble that a City Guard dropped somewhere by mistake. If they can get to the princess or noble and give them the scroll then said princess or noble will help them and do one big favour for them in return.

5-Scroll of Mapping (1)

6-Scroll of Blindness

If you read it, it blinds you until a high-ranking magic user casts a spell to undo the effects, and he or she might live a long way away.  Be careful what you randomly read.

8-Scroll of Military Planning

9-Scroll of Gossip

Non magical, it's a scroll of largely truthful news such as Lord Firethorn's Tea.

10-Scroll of Libel

Non magical, it's a scroll of vile and untrue libels about high ranking nobles and is illegal to possess.

11-Scroll of Fishing

Read it, and it makes any nearby fish within six or fewer feet away jump out of the water onto the land before the scroll disintegrates

12-Scroll of Geysers

Non magical, it's a map of the Sorcery Springs Geyser Basin and says what magic each geyser has within it.

13-Scroll of Fire

When you break the seal on it, it yells the word "Fire" in a really loud voice until it is torn up. Not the sort of thing to open in a crowded theatre-unless a genuine fire has broken out in there of course.

14-Scroll of Porn

When you open it, you see pictures of whatever turns you on. Banned in many places.

15-Scroll of Levitation

When you read it, you float up into the air until the scroll is destroyed by ripping it up, when the scroll cancels out. Well trained troops with grappling hooks would use this to float up the walls of castles, pull themselves with the hooks onto the walls, rip the scrolls and then try to take the castle over, normally as part of a forlorn hope.

16-Scroll of Illiteracy

When you read it, it makes you unable to read until you have been taught how to read again. A nasty booby trap left lying around for people.  Be careful what you randomly read.

17-Scroll of Dispel Illusion

When read this dispels small illusions outright, whilst larger more powerful ones are briefly torn before reforming.

18-Scroll of Rumors and Tales

Non magical, it contains various stories that may or may not be true or partly true.

19-Scroll of Summon Princess

When opened and read, it changes a female PC (or a male one if there are no women in the group) into a copy in looks of the nearest princess of the world, and the effects last until midnight.

20-Scroll of Dungonneering

Non magical, t's a map of a dungeon that is only halfway completed.

21-Scroll of Curse

When read it curses the reader (see 30 Curses for ideas.)  Be careful what you randomly read. In effect it is a magical landmine.

22-Scroll of Curse Others

When read it curses an attacker  (see 30 Curses for ideas.) If no attack is happening,  it either sends out a curse at a random person, causing possible legal or other problems, or if you and your friends are alone it sends out a curse at one of your friends.  Be careful what you randomly read.

23-Scroll of Eviction

If read in a room, it teleports the nearest people to the reader out of it and thirty feet away.

24-Scroll of Trumpet Blast

When opened, it sends out a blast of trumpet sound until it is either folded up again or torn up. It was made to save weight on campaign.

25-Scroll of Summon Cockroaches

When read it summons any cockroaches in the room and forces them to go outside, and is used for cleaning houses.

26-Scroll of Mapping (2)

Non magical, a beautiful scroll that is a map of the world and is worth quite a bit of money if undamaged.

27-Scroll of Astronomy

Non magical, a beautiful scroll that is a map of the solar system  and is worth quite a bit of money if undamaged.

28-Scroll of Banish Undead

This can banish weak undead outright, and does limited damage to powerful undead like vampires and Liches.

29-Scroll of Periodic Table

When read, it creates inch high squares of the elements, that in five seconds react with each other, causing a fire and a powerful pulse of radiation that damages everyone within fifty feet of it. It's often left like a magical landmine for the PCs to find. Be careful what you randomly read.

30-Scroll of Summon Sword

When read, it summons a random sword from 30 Swords, tearing itself up and losing it's magic in the process, and is useful to smuggle swords into areas where they are banned.
