30 Rangers

Here are listed the 30 Rangers of the Bushlands National Park in Western Bathland.

The Ideal
This man longed to be a Ranger all his life and was estactic when he got the job.He is allways on duty even in the worst weather that nature can throw at him, and nothing scares him.Not the climate, not poachers, not wildlife run amock, not even his boss.

The Lazy
This man spends as much time lazing around as he can, working just enough not to be sacked,that is, when something really needs to be done or when his boss is around.He is most happy when in his bed, and is despised by most of his fellow Rangers.

The Warden
This man is very strict to the tourists, patrolling regularly to make sure that nobody goes off the paths, picks flowers, gets too close to wildlife or hot springs, sets fires, or smuggles weaponry into the Park. A real stickler for the Park rules, even the small ones.

The Office Man
Whilst not very hardy when out on patrol, he is very happy to do any amount of paperwork including the paperwork of other people, and is popular with other Rangers for this reason.When new animals/uniforms ect need to be ordered, he does it.

The Don Juan
This man privatly thinks he is God's gift to women. Publicly of course he is allways polite and careful to treat them as equals, until he has sucessfully got them into his bed. Afterwards he dumps them and tells his fellow Rangers about his sex life.

The Poacher
This man has a double life. By day he protects the wildlife from poachers. By night he sometimes poaches himself and smuggles the skins, horns, ect, out of the Park in the back of his Ranger Jeep and blames the deaths on poachers.After all,who would suspect a Ranger of poaching?

The Doctor
This man knows the cure for almost every wound or disease that it is possible to get in the Park.He has saved the lives of several unlucky or careless tourists and one or two Rangers, and is respected and liked by everyone who he meets.

The Mercenary
This man is allways thinking up ways, legal and otherwise, of getting money, which range from setting up a pub within the park, to turning a blind eye to poaching for the right price. He is the richest of the Rangers but keeps his money well hidden.

The Informer
This man thinks nothing of 'telling on' people for even the smallest offenses, and that includes telling on fellow Rangers. His only friend on the force is the Warden, and all the others dislike or despise him or both, but the Boss keeps him because he is useful.

The Unlucky
Whilst this man means well bad things often happen to him.Mosquitos bite him, diseases find him, wildlife charges at him, ect.
The Boss is considering 'letting him go' for his own protection before he ends up dead.

The Dreamer
This man dreams of being something greater then a Ranger.
In his daydreams he is a policeman, a mage, a king, a superhero. He does not let his dreams get in the way of his work and is liked by his fellow Rangers, which is why he has kept his job.

The Messy
This man often turns up for work with his flies undone, his uniform dirty, his cap badge not clean. He does have a nice personality and is allways ready to do what is needed, which is why he was not sacked a long time ago.

The Fighter
This man is an expert in both armed and unarmed combat, and used to be a bouncer before he joined the Rangers. He has saved the life of a fellow Ranger at least once with his combat skills.Once when off duty four men attacked him and he managed to knock all four out.

The Detective
This man is good at finding missing people and bringing poachers to justice.He has solved several crimes,saved lives, and has earned the Star of Bathland (2nd Class) for uncovering a major ring of poachers and proving their guilt in court.

The Animal's Friend
Whilst all Rangers are supposed to be good with animals, it is said of this man that he could charm a Giant Silversnake, a Giant Spider or a Wrapper into not attacking him.Animals with slight injuries have come up to him for help.

The Transsexual
This Ranger often dresses as a woman when off duty,and is worried about his secret getting out. He is kind and pleasent to both tourists and to his fellow Rangers. Once the Don Juan saw him en femme and tried to seduce him but was of course turned down.

The Singer
When not on duty he often sings in nightclubs and longs to become a famous pop star. His fellow Rangers tease him but like him, as until he hits the big time he is perectly happy to work as hard as they and face the same dangers as they do.

The Lunatic
When on duty he is is the model of a good Ranger. When off it he has been responsible for the murders of several women, and the police are slowly closing in on him.The Dectective privatly suspects that something is wrong with him but cannot prove it.

The Work-To-Rule
The Boss loathes this Ranger because he does the bare minimum that he can get away with, never doing overtime or anything that is not in his job description. The Boss wants to sack him, but does not want to end up paying hefty compensation.

The Itchy
He is a hard worker and popular, but this Ranger's skin is covered with scars from where he has picked open mosquito bites.He dreads getting jock itch, and his fellow Rangers have privatly decided to bind and gag him for his own good if he ever catches chickenpox.

The Right Winger
Whilst a capable Ranger, all his fellow Rangers avoid talking politics with him, because he is a member of the small far right and racist White Pople's Party. The Boss has warned him more then once that any racist behaviour on the job will get him fired.

The Joker
This Ranger likes playing jokes on his fellow Rangers and the general public alike, a few of which have been highly dangerous, such as switching signs and putting itching powder down Itchy's back. So far he has avoided being caught and sacked.

The Presidental Supporter
This Ranger loves talking politics and supports the President of the Central Committee to an unhealthy degree. He has a picture of the President hanging above his bed. Most Rangers tell him to shut up when he starts talking politics.

The Protected Witness
This Ranger has a big secret.It was his evidence that convicted three members of the Tens skycutter gang to 99 years in prison for murder.The Bathlandic Witness Protection scheme sent him from Old London Town to the Bushlands and found him this job.His biggest fear is that the Tens will track him down one day and kill him.

The Super Hero
This Ranger is the opposite of the Work-To-Rule and works harder even then the Ideal.He has been praised by the Boss and has been given higher pay and the rank of Corperal for his devotion to duty.Many of his fellow Rangers think that he makes them look lazy.

The Left Winger
This Ranger dreams of organizing strikes for more pay and is a member of the Rangers and Gamekeepers Union, and a good friend of the Work-To-Rule.The Boss hates him but knows that to dismiss him might cause a strike.

The Drill Instructor
He is a Sargent in the Rangers and used to be a Seargent in the famous Red Beret Regiment.He despises the Itchy, hates the Work to Rule and spends a lot of his time shouting and screaming at the tourists and his fellow Rangers alike.

The Smart
Always smart, his cap badge shines and his clothes are freshly pressed every day.Another ex army man, he wants to get promotion and is secretly jealous of his superiors.He hates getting dirty for any reason.

The Plain
Known as 'Mr Normal' and popular with most Rangers, he neither skives off nor works so hard that the other Rangers seem lazy.He keeps his political and personal opions to himself.

The Boss
He is always under stress, needing to keep the Park in good condition and it's animals protected.He is a Ranger Captain with 30 years experience in the force and is one of the most skilled Rangers on the planet.
