Kovel the fighter sat at the bar table with his sorcerous companion, Errat, and and the roguish woman, Vena. Laughing, they raised their drinks to a succesful heist - they were all much richer after robbing and slaying the fat merchant earlier on the road and were celebrating a job well done. But deeds such as this attract the attention of many people.
Some hours into their night, a woman approached the friends with a friendly smile, 'Greetings Kovel. Good eve, Vena and Errat. I wish to have a word with you. Yes, I know your names. We have been watching you for some time, and we like what we see. I am here to offer you a part in something great. And yes; there will be money. You will have power. Come with me; let us talk.'

Orb of Knowledge Absorption

In the center of the great library, seated on a plain pedastal of twisted iron, sits a Grey crystal ball, 30 centimetres in diameter and with a misty interior to it. It is to this ball, that people go to find the whereabouts of books in the library, but the orb is much more complex than its simple task, though few may be aware of it.
